individual counsellingAll counselling is provided from a holistic perspective to address the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual quadrants of an individual's life. Issues belonging to the physical quadrant include the health and wellbeing of the physical body, finances, accommodation and environmental issues, work and career, community and world connections. While issues relating to the mental quadrant include, thoughts and ways of thinking, goals and dreams, imaginings and expectations, past events and attachments, self talk and self worth, and many others.

The emotional or relationship quadrant incorporates issues which very much relate to relationships with people, places, events, and things. Relationships are the magic mirrors for understanding self, providing a clear and direct means for personal empowerment, and for accepting responsibility for life. Relationship to self, those significant in our life, others in our life who impact in some way, as well as relationships we have with places, events, and things are considered.

The forth area of focus is the spiritual or energetic quadrant of our life. The spiritual quadrant includes such issues as creativity, self expression, meditation, our connection with Nature and the Universe, as well as the awesome questions such as, "Where did I come From?", "Where am I going?", and "What is my purpose here?"

Individuals will often seek out ways and means for addressing some psychological, emotional, or physical pain in their life. Issues or problems which most often present include the healing of relationships, abusive relationships, clearing and healing of emotional and psychological pain from early life events, dissolving of anxiety, depression and stress, dealing with loss and grief, coming to terms with death and dying, dealing with suicide and self harm. At the same time Integrity Matters responds to individuals who are looking for direction and purpose in their life.

We introduce concepts of Energy Psychology as well as combination therapy such as Mindfulness-integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MiCBT) and teach clients how to use these concepts for addressing life's challenges with a Holistic perspective of healing. Clients learn to use Energy Psychology or Meridian Energy Therapy techniques for their use and understanding. Most common of these techniques include, Emotional Freedom Techniques, EmoTrance, Chakra healing, and the use of Australian Bush Flower Essences.

In addition, using techniques such as (MiCBT) integrates the conscious mind and inner mind with the physical experience. By increasing an individual's awareness of the mind-body connection, it is clear that we can provide insight into the difference between thought and feelings. Becoming aware that we are not necessarily what we are thinking is a powerful reality check. There is a difference between thoughts we are thinking, the feelings we are feeling, and the truth.

In summary, we combine awareness, information, and the client's personal experience with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual strategies for holistic healing.

Individuals often have a personalised meditation burnt onto a CD for use at home, while others might take home a combination of meditations, Australian Bush Flower Essences, and other empowering techniques.
