The following workshop is offered as one way of working with young people (if not all people), and is meant as an alternative to the mainstream response that continues to show signs of stumbling.
It neither suggests there is a lack of effort, nor any lack of commitment by present workers and therapists. It does suggest an alternative way of working that is considered more profound and effective in its approach, and is supported by research.
There is focus on providing ways to engage young people quickly and effectively, without the psycho babble. Ways that make a difference, ways that empower the young person to instigate change in his or her life by providing tools, and a plan to work with.
The aim here is to provide young people with knowledge, and skills, regarding their potential to be, do, and have whatever they desire in this world, to take responsibility for their choices, and to develop their sense of self and personal power by caring about others.
