Learn to recognise what is happening in your body in any moment, without allowing yourself to become caught up in the attached stories. It is the stories that you attach to current events that cause emotional responses including pain in the form of anxiety, stress, anger, depression, powerlessness, and general feelings of lack.
Learn to recognise how you sense through vibrations, both internally and externally. This is an energy-based Universe and you sense everything through vibrations. Hearing, sight, touch, all your senses are vibrationally based. This is especially relevant to what you notice taking place within your body. If you are like most people, you will judge the feelings you experience as ‘good’ or ‘bad’. The reality, is these feelings are simple indicators or sensations of vibrational and resulting chemical and physiological changes taking place in your body. They are not the cause, they are the effect which can then become the cause.
These feelings are a way for you to check in on what is happening for you, particularly as your ego self will continually and unapologetically make up stories to add into the mix.
Awareness is the first key! This is the first step necessary on every journey. Becoming aware of your experience will allow you to consciously choose how you want to respond rather than unconsciously reacting. If you want a drink of water, you must first become aware of a purpose, maybe a need to quench a thirst. Awareness of the “lack” of water in your system sets up a tension. Your mind provides you with this information, an indicator, to dissolve the tension by quenching your thirst with water.
When you are in pain (psychological, emotional, physical, spiritual), a similar process is activated. The pain starts when the mind starts to analysis the situation. Analysis always takes you into the past or into the future and keeps you out of the present moment. Because of this, you often fail to recognise the ‘tension’. You will find yourself caught up in the stories you tell yourself about the past and the future. Most people interpret these stories to be the ‘problem’ and the focus becomes caught up inside the stories. Soon, the drama of the stories is the focus and ending of the tension is forgotten.
There is a potent flaw in the 'way' most people think but more importantly there is a flaw in 'what' they think about. It has been purported claimed that most people think 98% of the same thoughts today as they did yesterday. This habit has most of us focused away from the solution and on to the people, places, events, and objects (the stories) we blame and shame for the existence of the 'problem'.
The habit is to focus on the stories we attach to each of our core beliefs. Very few are real. These stories are either in the past which has gone, or in the future, which can only be imagined and planned. We do not have the whereabouts to change the past and our future is always filled with many what-if imaginings.
If you are willing to take responsibility for your own wellbeing and happiness (or lack of), the journey is exciting, and faster. If you are not willing to let go of pointing at other people, places, events, or objects blaming or shaming, then this program may not be for you. At the same time, it cannot hurt you. If anything, it might ‘hurt’ your cause i.e. the cause to blame or shame something external to your own power and potential. There is no judgement here! The only real judge ever, is you.
The starting point doesn’t require you to know what the problem is, nor what caused it in the first place. The starting point is your intent. Intention more than any technique, strategy or trick, is the power behind your change.
What is your intent here? Are you clear about your intention in reading these words? Do you know what you don’t want because this will allow you to know your preference? A clue is to notice what is happening in your body. What are the sensations or feelings in your body? Are these sensations energising or are they less than comfortable? When you become aware of this sensation, use the following to name it.
Stop thinking! Open to becoming mindful of what is happening inside of your body. Start feeling what is happening inside your body. Stay inside your body observing the goings-on until you locate a specific sensation. Where it is located? Is there a word you use to describe this sensation/feeling?
Next there is a list of 33 ways for you to investigate and action your preference. Each has the power and potential to change the way you experience your life, and your world. These are techniques you can use alone or with others. Each is powerful enough to change your life and each has the potential to enhance your experience.
The suggestion is that you consider each technique consecutively, but you can choose randomly. When you choose a technique, read about it and then practice it for one complete day. Some people will like a particular technique and will want to play with that technique most days. Be flexible how you choose and how you operate while giving attention to the entire list.
